Before I start telling you how to feel sexy, one thing is really important to know: YOU ARE SEXY. You are hot. You are a freakin' bombshell. You're probably thinking: 'She doesn't even know me, I'm so not sexy'. But I can tell you that without knowing who you are, that you are sexy. That is because each and every one of us people is sexy. We all have our sexy side and it's time to embody this side of us.
Feeling sexy is something that comes from within. It doesn't matter how often somebody tells you that you are sexy, if you don't see it yourself, you won't feel it either. Loving yourself is also related to confidence. I don't know about you but I very often find confident people very sexy. Confidence can lead to arrogance, that's not so sexy, but confidence is so attractive. So try it out yourself. What do you have to be confident about? Flaunt it! Show it to the world!
If you feel this important base of loving yourself and of being confident, then there are a few tips to enhance this confidence and play around with feeling sexy. Maybe you start to love yourself even more when practicing this. Note: Only try the things that you feel comfortable with. This are only tips, you don't have to do them if they don't feel right. Feel within yourself if something suits you or not. Be mindful about it.
1. Wear clothes that make you feel sexy
The clothes that your partner might find sexy, will not necessarily be the clothes that you feel sexy in. That is why it's important to pick clothes that empower you! This can be clothes in which you show off your skin. If that empowers you, do that! I myself love showing some cleavage once every while. I also have this top with a collar which makes me feel extremely confident and sexy. You don't have to show skin to be sexy. It's all about how a piece of clothing makes you feel. Are people around you telling you not to wear something because it's maybe too 'slutty' or because of any other reason? That's the patriarchy speaking. Don't listen to what others want you to do, because that are their values. You wear and do what makes you feel confident, that is the most important thing.
2. Wear sexy underwear
I chose practical underwear for a long time. It was comfortable and made me feel as normal and invisible as possible. I didn't want to feel sexy because I was insecure, so I wanted to push that side of myself away. Now I love myself and want to show my body, I absolutely love wearing some beautiful lingerie that makes me feel like a bombshell. Find something that makes you feel sexy as hell. Some women feel confident and sexy in a boxer, awesome! Like I said before, it's about how you feel in a clothing item that counts.
And no, you don't only have to wear this when you have a date or you know you're going to be intimate with someone. You can totally wear it for yourself, it can really empower you!
3. Take pictures of yourself
I just tried taking my first ever sexy selfie. When I say sexy selfie, I mean a selfie in which my face shows that I'm confident and that I feel sexy. Turns out, this doesn't work for me! I laughed my head off looking back at some of the photos. But this may work for you! You can even try to take some pictures of your body if that feels right to you. Be mindful about this though, and also careful about where you store these photos if you don't want anybody to see them. 4. Look in the mirror
Hello gorgeous! Take the time to look at yourself in the mirror and admire what you love about yourself and what is sexy about you.
5. Think back at times in which someone made you feel sexy
Other people can also make us feel sexy because they completely adore us for who we are and what we look like. Or ask someone who makes you feel like this, to do what makes you feel sexy. A little help is never a bad thing!
6. Fake it until you make it
This doesn't always work, but sometimes it's good to put on your high heals and act as if. That can work miracles!
7. Have sex with yourself
By giving yourself pleasure you learn to enhance even more of yourself and your body. It can totally make you feel more sexy.
8. Touch yourself
You don't have to have sex with yourself to feel sexy. You can also just touch yourself. Rub some body butter on yourself or give yourself a massage. Tell yourself how beautiful you are in the mean time! That can really enhance your confidence.
Nothing feels as good as flirting, for me anyway. Even though I'm in a relationship, I love to flirt with people that I find attractive. I used to be a queen at flirting, but when I went in to a serious relationship that changed. This automatically made me feel less sexy and less worthy, so I decided I could still flirt, I am just mindful about the consequences.
10. Don't try too hard
If you don't feel sexy for a day, that is also completely fine! Don't put too much pressure on having to feel a certain way. We are humans, we never feel the same way. It's all good!
11. Don't compare yourself to others
If you start comparing yourself to others, you are going to lose my friend. You will always find someone who is better looking in your eyes. Just don't do it! You are sexy as you are!
12. Be yourself
Be you. Rock you. That is sexy. Don't be apologetic about it. Just do you!
