I CAN’T MEDITATE. So many people say this! This has to do with all the images of meditation that we have. It doesn’t have to be hard! Follow these four steps to start an easy meditation practice.
Step 1: Sit down comfortably.
Step 2: Set a timer for 5 minutes and close your eyes.
Step 3: Focus on your breath: What does it feel like? Slow or fast? Deep or flat? Notice how your belly rises and falls when you breathe.
Step 4: Keep experiencing every breath fully, without trying to control it. When you notice your thoughts wandering away, gently bring them back to your breath. Do this until the timer goes off.
